The TGX Cosplay Cup is an advanced level competition for cosplayers with hand-crafted costumes and involves a pre-judging session with our expert judges, as well as a short stage performance. The TGX Cosplay Cup will be held on Sunday March 24, and the parade will be on Saturday March 23 2024.

No, the TGX Cosplay Cup is only for solo entrants.

No. We only ask for this information to get a better idea of you as a cosplayer, as well as being able to shout out your accounts on our social media, with your consent.

No, you can use a costume you’ve made previously, or one in progress, as long as it abides by the rules and has not previously placed in another competition.

Absolutely! The Cosplay Cup is for experienced cosplayers, but this does not mean you have to be a professional cosplayer to enter.

No. As an advanced level competition, the judges will be looking at accuracy to a reference, as well as quality of construction and complexity of skills.

There will be a Cosplay Parade on Saturday, and have photo areas and activities all weekend!

To enter the TGX Cosplay Cup, you must have a costume that is at least 50% complete at the time of application, and a reference portfolio / buildbook detailing the construction of your costume.

You also need to purchase either a Sunday or Weekend pass to The Game Expo.
